Mr. C.C. Kacheria established Chimanlal, Chotalal & Co. in 1933 to design, develop and distribute art work and picture frames. He noticed the increase in usage of glass as a protection for picture frames and slowly diversified into float glass wholesale sales. With an excellent reputation for professionalism and customer service, the firm grew to become the largest wholesaler of float glass in Gujarat representing several prominent manufacturers.

In early 1980s, toughened glass was increasingly being used in the Transportation and Television industry. The processing division Guardian Glass Industries was established in 1983 in Ahmedabad to serve this safety glass market. Bringing to the table the same principles and ethics that led to success in the wholesale market, Guardian Glass quickly evolved to become one of the largest suppliers of safety toughened glasses to OEMs.

In late 1990s, glass started making inroads into homes and offices for architectural and decorative purposes. Guardian Glass shifted its focus to the retail market and has since been a preferred supplier to distinguished architects, interior designers, contractors and individuals. The firm has stayed true to its founding principles of quality, customer service and professionalism. 

Today, backed by the state of the art facility and 78 years of experience, we are equipped to provide you the virtually unlimited design and architectural options. Our scope of work does not only span glass. We take up turnkey projects and provide measurement, Aluminum & Steel fabrication and installation services.
